So nice to see another Jonathan Jackson admirer. I've had Nashville on my "shows to get to" list for months, but so far just not enough hours in the day. I adored him on GH and I've watched a few movies and shows he's done since. I've always thought he was the most talented young actor I'd ever seen on soaps. Chandler Massey reminded me of him so much -- the easy access to emotions (and tears), the wonderful chemistry with older co-stars and the ability to more than hold his own with more experienced actors. When I first started watching Days again at the start of the gay s/l I feel for Chandler hard and it was for that reason. His and Jonathan's acting styles are so similar. When they would cry they would have me crying as well.

Well, I watched this last night after the Emmys and I am very, very happy the show has decided to use a lot of different locations for Braavos. I know they filmed that stuff in Croatia and it looks beautiful. I even looked into how much it would be to fly there, given how low the Euro is.

They are going very heavy handed with the religion/homphobia is a bad thing message tonight. Poor Olyvar and Loras. I know this plot is not in the books - at least this specifically -and Olyvar is not a book character. I hope he doesn't go the way of poor Ros in earlier seasons.
I'm liking Jaimie's trip to Dorne, though.

This season is very disjointed, but did anyone catch the huge L+R=J anvil last night. It was when Maester Aemon was talking about how alone Dany is and the danger of a Targaryen being along and in walks Jon Snow.
Otherwise, Ramsey is the new Joffery, but I'm not about to underestimate Sansa.

Okay, I did not care for tonight's episode because I know that the Sansa marriage to Ramsey and his rape of her was an addition from the book and not a pleasant one. The show really is guilty of misogyny and it bothers me. There are other good stories - the whole Loras/Olyvar having echoes of Oscar Wilde's trial and Tyrion remains super interesting.
Also, the lovely Dorne royal couple has given me something doomed to ship. They were really very sweet.

So, well, Winter isn't coming. It's here.
I was not expecting that epic battle.
And Tyrion and Dany make a great team.
Calling it now: With Jon, they are the three heads of the dragon. And all of them are Azora Hai, and will ride the dragons to destroy the white walker zombie army.

So, after last week's game changing episode, I psyched for tonight.
It could be a full hour of Tyrion advising Dany and I'd be happy. For a good laugh - check out the Tyrion's guide to job interview meme that is floating around.
And now we have it confirmed that Jon Snow - which we knew all along but wasn't confirmed - is super, super important. He's the ice in the song of ice and fire, he's the prince that was promised and he's either Azor Ahai or part of Azor Ahai (if you believe the dragon's three heads are all Azor Ahai). And Jon knows and knows just how INSANE the threat from the White Walkers is.
Of all the cray fan theories, I'm going with:
Jon is Lyanna and Rhaegar's son. He's the prince that was promised, and his sword is light bringer. He is Dany's nephew, but since the Targaryeans practiced incest that isn't going to stop him from marrying Dany.
Dany is obviously another head of the dragon, and the light bringer is also the dragons.
Tyrion is not a Lannister. He's the Mad King's son, and he's one of the three heads. (Book readers will tell you that one of Dany's three dragons is smaller than the others and is a lion killer and the lion is the symbol of House Lannister.) This also makes him Dany's half brother. In the end, Tyrion will marry Sansa. Also, there's a lot of "light" is knowledge in the book - so Tyrion brights light in that way.
There's big fan theory that the three heads of the Dragon will all either die fighting the white walkers or be to scarred to rule so in the end, Sansa will be the queen.

So, now Stannis is officially the most hated character in the GoT universe. More than Joffery, Ramsay and that slaver guy who got torched by Dany's dragons. Way to go Stannis.

The last scene with the Dragon was awesome. Yes, after all these years, we actually saw Dany get on a dragon and ride! I worry about her companions, but I think the Sons of the Harpy will disperse and run now that Drogon is angry. I still worry about the other two (Viserion and Rhaegal). By the way, Viserion is small...small enough to be ridden by a dwarf and has coloring that matches Tyrion. Meanwhile, the larger Rhaegal matches Jon Snow's eyes. Anyway, it's time for Dany to free her dragons and sic them on...well, let's start with Stannis.

Yeah he's the show's new asshole for sure. A lot of people have compared him to Agamemnon, which is kind of apt, except Agamemnon's sacrifice was successful but we all know that Stannis is not Azor Ahai, Jon is (or at least one of three) but Stannis not. So the sacrifice was mostly pointless and now is going to alienate the one person devoted to Stannis, Davos.
