The U.S. is a mess. I can't believe that Trump might actually win. It makes me want to throw up.

I am so sorry for those American's whose rights will now be taken away by a Trump government. I can't believe people would vote for a man who said he'd sleep with his own daughter, mocked people with disabilities and hates anyone who isn't Caucasion, heterosexual and Christian. Last night the web browser that gives information on immigrating to Canada crashed, so here is some basic information: Canada: 2nd. largest country in the world Population of around 35 million...which is less than the state of California. Land mass of 9.985 million km² which means there's lots of space. Gun control laws are in effect, bullets cannot even be purchased without a license. Gay marriage is legal in the entire country. We're a multicultural nation, welcoming all nationality's and religions. The Canadian prairies are probably the best priced property/housing in the country.....our dollar is low compared to the US dollar right now, and the cost of living is fairly expensive on the West/East Coasts but well worth it considering you can literally surf and then ski in the same day. Our first prime minister was Sir John A. Macdonald our latest is Justin Trudeau. But be warned, if you move to B.C it really does rain a lot here, that is not a myth in fact, it's pouring down right now where I live. There, your now ready to emigrate from the USA call me when you get here, I'll make the chilli.

Clinton won the popular vote. The mechanism the founders designed to prevent a Trump has propelled him into office, as it did in 2000 for George W. Bush. This is an incalculable loss to the world and to human dignity and democracy.

This is an incalculable loss to the world and to human dignity and democracy. I cried when Hillary Clinton gave her concession speech. What a loss! I am still reeling from this. How will we recover from this? As a person of color, it was disheartening to see how red the country became or was it always there festering, and Donald Trump shrewdly use this to get the White House..What happened! this is scary....I expected the south to remain red, but, Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania turning red was dispiriting. Wow! Hate crimes against Latinos is on the rise in Liberal states like California..This is so incomprehensible...

I live in Michigan and was so angry to see it red only to find out that a lot of people decided to either not vote or vote for a third party. I'm so disappointed

From what I'm reading Clinton lost because she didn't get the big minority vote in Urban areas that carried Obama to victory twice. No they didn't vote for Trump, they just didn't vote. You would think that after all the horrific things Trump has said about minorities they would have been lines up out to the parking lot to make sure he didn't win.

You would think that after all the horrific things Trump has said about minorities they would have been lines up out to the parking lot to make sure he didn't win. I understand your point of view, but, to be fair, communities of color have always had an antipathy to elections because they feel that the system is rigged against them..It is why they often choose to not participate. Black people came out in droves for Obama because he was our first Black President and we wanted to make sure that he did not get screwed. We came out again in 2012, to make sure he got re-elected and not by a one term president like Mitch MCconnell prognosticated after he won the election in 08. Hillary was never going to get the same level of devotion, for obvious reasons. The white women both Urban and rural, did not come out in mass for Hillary. They hated her that much.. The right wing has been trashing the Clintons for years. The polls were wrong about her lead. Donald used fear and hate to get his base to come out for him and against Hillary. Plus, the minorities did not come out like they should have....
